Mary Hall believes that drama and creative writing can expand perspective, uncover complexity, and build empathy; that's why she's a teaching artist. As a National Kennedy Center Teaching Artist, she has presented hundreds of arts integration workshops to teachers across the US; as a faculty member of Harvard’s Project Zero Classroom since 2014, she has presented courses to educators from around the world and at Project Zero’s regional, national, and international conferences; she frequently partners with museums to pair writing and visual art for rich professional development. She has recently presented professional development for teachers at the National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Telfair Museum, and Crystal Bridges Art Museum.  Mary Hall also enjoys working directly with students, both through demonstration teaching, and in programs offered by Signature Theatre’s SigWorks in the School, VSA, Young Playwrights’ Theatre, and more.
